90-Second Newbery Film Festival

Join us for the hottest free ticket in town, The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival Screening Party! Watch short film adaptations of Newbery Award-winning books by youth filmmakers from Tacoma and across the nation. Author James Kennedy and local legend Doug Mackey will present a wacky stage show to introduce the films and keep the whole family entertained. At the finale, discover which films from Tacoma youth will be screened nationally!

This event is presented by Tacoma Public Library and host James Kennedy.

King's Books will be onsite to sell copies of Newbery Award-winning titles and James Kennedy's book, The Order of the Odd Fish.

12:00 p.m. - Lobby doors open (Meet the young stars and walk the red carpet!)
12:30 p.m. - House doors open
1:00 to 3:00 p.m. – Screening Party
