IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OUR LOYAL SUPPORTERS
Your health and well-being in our venues continues to be our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all Tacoma Arts Live events and will continue to comply with – and when possible, exceed – all government mandated health guidelines and restrictions regarding physical distancing in public gatherings. Our team is continually monitoring safety protocols from the Washington State Governor’s office and other agencies. We are also proactively strengthening our protocols for events including social distancing, masking, sanitation, and more. As soon as we are able to reopen, you’ll be the first to know.
Looking ahead to next season, we are exploring a variety of contingency options: alternative seating plans that will accommodate physical distancing, live streaming of unique performances for our Tacoma region, and adjusted show lengths. This season might be a little unusual, but we are hopeful to bring live performance back to our community. Please note: all dates, times, and venues are subject to change as we learn more. Once we begin seating, we make every effort to honor your seating requests, however your seating location may need to change in order to meet physical distancing requirements. Thank you for your continued flexibility.
When will Tacoma Arts Live reopen?
As soon as it is safe for us to do so. We are following all the government mandates and will be back when we can confidently keep you safe.
What should I do if I had tickets to one of the events that had been previously impacted?
You have a couple of options for your ticket – if the show has been rescheduled, you can keep your tickets! The tickets are still valid. You can also donate your tickets back as a tax deductible donation, refund the amount to a gift certificate to use to see another show when it is safe to do so or you can request a refund to the card that you purchased the tickets with. Please contact our Box Office with your choice and we will take care of it!
Will additional shows be postponed or cancelled?
We cannot predict the impacts of COVID-19. At this time, all shows and events published on our website are moving forward as planned. Should any program changes be required, we will communicate these changes over our website, email, and social media.
What if I buy a Flex Pass and the entire season has to be cancelled?
The beauty of a Flex Pass is that the money on the pass doesn’t expire! You will be able to use that once we can safely reopen even if it takes longer than we hope. We will also offer the opportunity to get a refund if we have to cancel the entire season. We are changing our financial reserve policies to protect our patrons and ensure the funds we hold for you are protected.
What precautions are you taking to prevent the spread of Covid-19?
Tacoma Arts Live has temporarily closed our Box Office, administrative offices, and the public spaces of our venues.
We have comprehensive cleaning guidelines and much of what we can do to prevent the spread of disease is part of our standard protocol, including sanitizing all surfaces frequently using CDC recommended sanitizer. We encourage the practice of frequent and thorough hand washing in addition to frequent sanitizing of surfaces at work, home and in vehicles. All staff and patrons will wear masks when we reopen. We expect any staff and patrons who feel ill to stay home. Seating arrangements in the venue may change to accommodate physical distancing.
If I purchase tickets and someone in my party comes down with or is exposed to COVID-19, what can I do?
We will be much more flexible this season in our exchange and refund policies. We will be able to offer exchanges, donations or refunds in the case of illness up until the day of the show.
How can I support Tacoma Arts Live best right now?
The arts are a source of comfort when the world feels uncertain and overwhelming. If you are able to support Tacoma Arts Live, there are several ways you can help sustain us during these uncertain times:
- Make a gift
- Become a Member
- Purchase a Flex Pass or Gift Certificate
- Donate or keep your tickets for a rescheduled performance rather than request a refund
Your support means that when Tacoma Arts Live is able to once again welcome you to events, we will be able to do so with the warmth, comfort, and safety you expect.
Please note that this is an evolving situation, and we will be updating this page and emailing patrons as more information becomes available.
